Alan Clarke, Baritone

Alan Clarke, Baritone, has been in the Wilmington area for only a year, but already loves living in the Port City. An Atlanta native, Alan is a Blue Devil, and sang with both the Duke University Chorale and Chapel Choir while obtaining his undergraduate degree at Duke.

Before moving to North Carolina, Alan was bass soloist and section leader with numerous church choirs and community ensembles in the Atlanta area which toured and performed in Italy as well as U.S. cities such as Washington, D.C. and New York. As a member of Atlanta’s Schola Cantorum, he performed for many years at Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, South Carolina. Most recently he was a member of DeKalb Choral Guild, Atlanta’s longest running choral organization (founded in 1939) and host of the Georgia Young Composers Festival. In his musical theater performances, Alan’s favorite roles were Nathan Detroit in Guys & Dolls and Father in Ragtime.  

By day, Alan is an entertainment attorney with the national law firm Greenspoon Marder LLP, representing entertainment companies, athletes, actors, performers, producers, writers, publishers, and artists. He is a member of The Recording Academy (the Grammy organization) and NATAS (the Television Academy). Alan has served in various leadership positions as Chair of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, Chair of the North American Entertainment Sports & IP Law Summit, and Chair of the Entertainment Law Institute at Emory University. Most recently, he was named as one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Music Lawyers of 2023.
