Amanda Sadanaga, soprano, is a private music teacher who loves to sing in musicals and choirs. She has a degree in music education from Methodist University where she studied voice with Dr. Susan Durham-Lozaw and got to perform with the MU Chorale and Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Michael Martin, as an alto, soprano, soloist, and sometimes conductor.
During college, Amanda had the opportunity to perform in Philadelphia, New York City at Carnegie Hall, and overseas in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. Since graduating in 2018, she has been a soprano and soloist in the Cape Fear Chorale, under the direction of Jerry Cribbs, and performed in Something Rotten, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Company as Susan with Thalian Association.
She spent the four years after college establishing a music program at Surf City Elementary School as their first ever music teacher. After three years of teaching private lessons on the side, she left public school teaching and started Amanda’s Music School LLC in June 2022 where she teaches voice, piano, violin, and more from her home or students’ homes. Amanda lives with her wonderful husband, Austen, who is a talented film editor. Because they both work in the arts, they plan to have Wilmington be their forever home and continue mastering their crafts here in this artsy town for decades to come!
