Amy Luck, Mezzo Soprano, was blessed to be born into a family that valued making and listening to music. She made the decision to become a band director at the age of 7, before she had even picked out which band instrument she wanted to play! A graduate of Ithaca College, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in music education as a trumpet major. Her voice teachers have been Carol McAmis, Kathleen Scott and Sara Westermark. She holds additional degrees and certifications from Manhattanville College and SUNY New Paltz. Amy taught elementary and middle school band in the White Plains, NY schools, until she and husband Steve made the excellent decision to relocate to Wilmington. She has sung with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, the Newburgh Chorale, the Cape Fear Chorale, and with a number of church choirs. Amy has been delighted to find quality music in the Cape Fear region, and is excited to be a part of Wilmington Voices!
