Jean Lawler loves where she lives, and because of that she and her husband, Eddie, like to keep themselves busy! Jean is currently the Advertising Director at Wilmington International Airport. In 2005, she helped to create the vision for Enchanted Airlie along with Albert Corbett. A servant of the local Cape Fear community, Jean received the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) Excellence in Community Service award in 2014. As a leader of the greater Wilmington area, she was the NC Azalea Festival President in 2017. The following year Jean was recognized as the volunteer of the year by the International Festivals and Events.
Jean is an avid fan of the UNCW Seahawks, and you can find her at most games on campus. In 2022 she received the distinguished alumni award because of her steadfast commitment to the school. A patriot, Jean serves on the WWII Wilmington Coalition board. In addition, as a promotor of fine arts she gives time as a member of the Wilson Center Advisory Board. Finally, she serves on the board of Wilmington Downtown, Inc., promoting economic growth and business development in downtown Wilmington.
Jean is thrilled to be on the Wilmington Voices board promoting excellence in choral music! She believes music is such a wonderful way to keep your perspective in life.
