Monika Cosson, Mezzo Soprano

Monika Cosson is a distinguished mezzo-soprano and minister whose career encompasses music, pastoral care, and spiritual formation. She began her professional journey in 1994 with the esteemed Gregg Smith Singers in New York City, later interning at the Adirondack Festival of American Music in Saranac Lake, New York. Her operatic repertoire includes notable performances with prestigious companies such as the New Orleans Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Southwest, and Mobile Opera. Additionally, she has engaged in concert performances with esteemed ensembles, including the New Orleans Philharmonic, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Wilmington Voices, Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico, and Canticum Novum Chamber Chorus. 

In her commitment to faith-based service, Ms. Cosson dedicates her summers to participating in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians in Montreat, North Carolina. She also promotes holistic well-being as a yoga instructor at URU Yoga & Beyond and offers compassionate support as a facilitator for GriefShare programs. Furthermore, she serves as treasurer for the Daughters of the King lay order at Christ Church Episcopal Pensacola. 

Ms. Cosson is a full-time online student and graduate assistant at Loyola University New Orleans, pursuing a Master of Pastoral Studies degree, with an expected graduation date in fall 2026. She has recently received endorsement from her Bishop, signifying a significant advancement in her professional path toward chaplaincy.
