Monika Cosson, Mezzo Soprano
Monika “Mo” Cosson began her career in 1994 with the renowned Gregg Smith Singers in New York City, later interning at the Adirondack Festival of American Music in Saranac Lake, NY. Her rich musical path has included opera roles with companies like New Orleans Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Mobile Opera, and concert credits with prestigious ensembles such as the New Orleans Philharmonic, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Wilmington Voices, and Canticum Novum Chamber Chorus. She spends her summers in Montreat, NC, as a Presbyterian Association of Musicians member.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Mo finds joy in teaching yoga at URU Yoga & Beyond and guiding GriefShare programs. A full-time online student and graduate assistant at Loyola University New Orleans, she is on track to graduate with a master’s degree in pastoral studies (MAPS) in fall 2026. Mo also serves as treasurer for the Daughters of the King lay order at Christ Church Episcopal Pensacola. She recently received endorsement from her Bishop, an essential step in her journey toward chaplaincy.
